Monuments and Logos Part-2 (IIT Mandi - Suspension Bridge)

Mandi, the Himalayan town at the bank of river Beas , known as 'Chota Kashi' for its 81 ancient old stone Shaivite temple with fine carving, got its own IIT in 2009 with many other new IITs. The institute has chosen the famous Victorial suspesion bridge in its logo.

The logo has consisted of sun and hills to depict the surrounding of Mandi and the the Victoria Suspension Bridge, over river Beas, an engineering marvel built by Raja Bijai Sen in 1877. The logo thus depicts everything about the Mandi.

Monuments and Logos Part 1 IIM Ahemadabad (The famous Jali Arhitecture of mosque)

Momnuments, tha amalgmation of different cultures and civilizations symbloizing the cultural heritage of the country and often used to study and analyze the history of the region. So the logo designers or the artist often uses these monuments to depict their logos to reflect the region history and we can see a bit of this refllection of monuments in Indian logos as well. Today I will try to unleash some of these Indian logos.

IIM Ahemadabad (The famous Jali Arhitecture of mosque):-
Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, the famous mosque built in the reign of last sultanate of Gujrat. Bulit by the famous  Abyssinian known as Sidi Saeed or Sidi Saiyyed who came from Yemen , in Indo-Islamic architecture this mosque is famous for its Jalis. There are totla 8 arched windows which are adorned with these stone carved intricate jalis. And IIM Ahemadabad logo desigener(s) has used one of these famous jalis in logo. I think representing the Ahemadabad with this archirtecture is best thought somebody could ever has.
