The Baroda Sun-- Bank of Baroda Logo

Bank of Baroda  founded by the Maharaja of Baroda, H. H. Sir Sayajirao Gaekwad III on 20 July 1908 in the Princely State of Baroda, in Gujarat is the second largest bank of India after State bank of India.

 The Dual 'B' letterforms is a unique representation of a universal symbol,holding the rays of the rising sun. This sun is often termed as Baroda Sun .

 The single-colour, compelling vermilion palette has been carefully chosen, for its distinctivenes as it stands for hope and energy.

NCERT

The National Council of Educational Research and Training  is an organization set up by the Government of India, in 1961.Helping in all academic matters to all regional and national institutes of India the organization improved the school education in many ways .

Being an Indian kid every Indian have witnessed this logo in his life through television education or books.Now here the idea of logo came into existence.

This design have been adopted from the relics of Ashoka period found in Maski, Raichur District in Karnataka.

The intertwined hansas symbolise the integration of the three aspects of
the work of the NCERT:
(i) Research and Development,
(ii) Training, and
(iii) Extension.

The motto vidyaya'mrtamasnute has been taken from the Isavasya Upanishadand means ‘life eternal through learning’.

SBI - state bank of India

The logo of the State Bank of India is a blue circle with a small cut in the bottom that depicts perfection and the small man the common man - being the center of the bank's business.

 

The question arises from where the SBI logo came ? 

 So here it is : the logo came from NID Ahmedabad , and inspired by  Kankaria lake of  Ahmedabad.

 On knowing the logic I just searched in google map and typed kankaria lake and you know what I found??

Soundcloud--- An   online audio distribution platform based in Berlin, Germany that enables its users to upload, record, promote and share their originally-created sounds. 

The Logo of sound cloud doesn't seems much complex and on a closer look, the bars in the cloud represents waves, thus signifying the name sound cloud of the company.

Yoga Asutralia

Yoga Australia is a voluntary, not-for-profit association, incorporated in 1999 (originally known as the Yoga Teachers Association), by a group of independent yoga teachers who recognized

the need to bring yoga teachers together from all different traditions, styles and backgrounds, to provide mutual support and professional recognition of yoga in Australia.


The Yoga Australia is a simple and depictive example of logo design.
The logo shows a girl doing Yoga and the posture of her body in YOGA position makes the map of Australia .

The Golden Ratio

Golden Ratio , the most famous and divine ratio special not only in mathematics but art and aesthetics as well. Talking about historical design perspective without considering the Golden ratio would be worthless.So here I am telling you the design secrets of the world's most famous logos like Apple, Pepsico, BP etc.

Originated at the ancient Greek time the golden ratio  had compelled to all great thinkers of every disciplines to  research and accept the appeal of this number. Golden Number having value equals to 1.6180....  is also related to the Fibonacci Series where the consecutive numbers are in golden ratio i.e. 1.6180....
The use of golden ratio is not having any logical justification in the art world, instead it seems to be aesthetic and pleasant to eyes. Historically from Egyptian pyramid to Parthenon temple the use of this divine ratio in architecture , paintings and music can be seen.

In this mathematical but pleasant logic of art was also applied by the great logo designers of famous brands.  Here are the most famous brands which used the golden ratio in their designs.

Canon

The most famous brand canon actually evolved from a  Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory established back in 1933. In 1934 it produced the Kwanon, a prototype for Japan’s first-ever 35 mm camera with a focal plane based shutter.

 The first set of cameras was manufactured as a part of business trial and these early birds were named Kwanon after the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy. Now this Goddess was the possessor of thousand arms and spat flames.

From the very beginning, the company worked with an ambition of reaching out to the outer world and as such the company wanted to adopt a name that will be acceptable globally. With this intention, the company name was changed from Kwanon to Canon and it was registered as the  logo trademark name of the company in the year 1935.
